Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 23 years old. Can you please explain to me about my ultrasound report? The uterus was anteverted and midline in position. A mild endometrial reaction was seen with a thickness of 4.94 mm, uterine size was 6.83×3.91×3.01cm bi-focal myometrial lesion seen. Ovaries showed immature follicles bilaterally and no potential major follicle to date 15th day of the cycle. No solid or cystic adnexal mass was seen, and no free fluid was in the cul de sac. Please suggest this to me What is the diagnosis? Is it curable?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern. I do not see any reason for you to worry. If I may explain

1. The normal size of the uterus is a maximum of 7cm*4cm*3cm, so your uterus is normal in size.

2. Endometrial growth on the 15th day of the period is usually around 10 to 12 mm. It is slightly low. Mostly due to poor growth of follicles. But this can be corrected if you are planning for pregnancy using estrogen tablets.

3. As I said, ovaries should be showing a dominant follicle by this time. But this needs stimulation with hormones if you are planning for pregnancy.

4. Adnexa is normal.

So the final thing to note is you only need treatment for follicle growth. Nothing worth worrying about. I hope this will help you.

Thank you.
