How to treat urine infection and pain during urination?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 24-year-old with a chief complaint of pain in urination. I got my urinalysis done and there is an infection. Please help.

Thanks.

Hello doctor,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

In the urinalysis, there are many bacteria, pus cells, and WBCs (white blood cells). It means it is UTI (urinary tract infection).

  1. Have you done urine culture and sensitivity?
  2. Are you taking any antibiotics?
  3. Do you have any fever?

Kindly reply to above questions to assist in your query better.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks
