Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I was recently diagnosed with metastatic urothelial carcinoma, and my oncologist has recommended immunotherapy with Atezolizumab. I would like to understand how this drug works to target cancer cells and what kind of side effects I might experience. I have heard that immunotherapy can sometimes cause the immune system to attack healthy cells, how significant is this risk with Atezolizumab? I also want to know how effective it is, especially in cases where the cancer has already spread to other organs. What should I ask my doctor before starting this therapy?
Kindly help.
