Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Kindly answer the query as elaborately as possible. I am looking for women's health experts to know about "signs you need to take better care of your vagina."

1. What are some signs you need to take better care of your vagina? (Maybe a woman experiences infections, has a bad smell, or never feels clean down there, etc.) The more interesting the sign, the better.

2. Is it important to take care of your vaginal health? If so, what is the best way to go about ensuring you have a healthy vagina?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

Excess vaginal discharge, itching, irritation, foul smell, fishy or fruity odor, burning sensation, dyspareunia, lower abdominal pain, burning while passing urine, loss of libido, rashes, redness, and swelling, are signs of vaginal infection. It is very important to take care of the vagina as it is one of the paths through which infection can ascend up and reach the uterus, tubes, ovaries, and adjacent pelvic structures. Avoid multiple sex partners, Maintain personal hygiene, and take plenty of fluids. Wash your private parts with normal tap water every time you use the washroom, and avoid using vaginal douches and creams. Have annual check-ups and pap smears.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
