How to manage vertebrobasilar circulatory insufficiency?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from vertebral basilar circulatory insufficiency (caused by cervical spondylosis), and I have been prescribed the tablet Vinpocetine. The problem is that I have rosacea on my face.

What is the best alternative way to enhance cognition if I cannot take the tablet Vinpocetine? How to manage my vertebrobasilar circulatory insufficiency without making my face burn? I am very worried.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

I suggest you take the tablet Donepezil (cholinesterase inhibitor). These drugs do not cause vasodilation. Regarding vertebrobasilar insufficiency, I suggest you take a tablet of Aspirin (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) 80 milligrams daily and statins if you have dyslipidemia.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thanks and regards.
