Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have some redness on my labia minora that is painful to the touch. I went to the doctor yesterday to get tested for genital herpes but I am very stressed out waiting for the results. I have been examining my vulva and noticed some finger-like projections near the red and painful area. I cannot see any sores but I am distraught. Is it possible that I have just rubbed off one of these finger-like projections while wiping myself in the toilet or with a towel? I often wipe myself very hard because I am afraid I am not clean enough. I had two new sexual partners four and six weeks ago. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Regarding your symptoms, I propose you have developed vulvovaginitis. Is there any history of fever, abdominal pain, unprotected sex, or allergy to cosmetics? If not, I would suggest you take the tablet Diclofenac 100 mg twice a day, tablet Metronidazole 400 mg thrice a day, capsule Co-Amoxiclav 625 mg twice a day, tablet Ketoconazole 200 mg once a day, tablet Acyclovir 800 mg once a day, tablet Hydroxyzine 25 mg once a day. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent.

If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat , phone, or video consultation.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
