Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a black spot on my penis after removing a wart. Now I have one remaining wart, and I am not sure how to get rid of it. Are these spots and warts a cause for concern? Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your query.
I can understand your concern.
Sharing a picture of the affected area might help in the assessment. If you had unprotected sex, it is important to consider the possibility of sexually transmitted infections. Here are some tests that could be relevant:
TPHA (Treponema pallidum hemagglutination).
HPV (human papillomavirus) DNA PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test.
Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) IgG (immunoglobulin G-types one and two).
Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) IgM (immunoglobulin M), serum.
Chlamydia Trachomatis IgG.
HIV antibodies screening test.
HbsAg (Hepatitis B surface antigen).
Urine complete.
If this does not apply and if it seems to be a bacterial infection, you can use T Bact (Mupirocin) ointment for locally, along with the tablet Doxy 100 mg ( Doxycycline) twice daily for five days. For itching (if present), consider using Candid B (Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone) ointment locally and take a tablet of Cetzin (Cetirizine) at night. Remember to wash your genitalia twice a day with normal water (not too hot or cold) and avoid using strong pH-balanced soaps.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.
Thank you.

Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have reviewed the image (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity) that you have provided, and it seems to resemble a follicular infection. Antibiotics should be effective for treatment. Could you please provide information about any history of unprotected sexual activity?
