Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 28-year-old female with a wheezing cough, chest pain that goes to my shoulder, hurts to breathe in, 100.4 degree Celsius fever, vomiting, headache, stuffy nose, sneezing, constant chest pain, fatigue, and coughing up green mucus. I have a history of epilepsy, bipolar anxiety, depression, and allergies the whole time. I am on the medications Trazodone, Trileptal, Latuda, Topomax, and Loratadine. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I would be glad to answer your query. I see that you are worried about your condition. Regarding the symptoms that you quoted, it can be due to several conditions, but I think of one most probable diagnosis. I have to ask you for a few more details to answer.

1. How long do you have a fever, and how much was the highest fever (body temperature)?

2. How long do you cough?

3. How long is the duration (in days) of those symptoms (cough, sneezing, vomiting, fatigue)?

4. When you started to vomit, and how many times per day do you vomit?

I think that is a common cold caused by respiratory viruses. As you have problems with allergies from before, your nose mucositis is swollen, from before, and now, due to a virus infection, it gets worse. Also, your bronchi in the lungs are irritated and narrowed because of chronic allergies, and also this virus just makes it worse producing more secretions and mucus, which additionally narrows your breath ways. Your chest hurts because of the constant cough, and your chest muscles are sore because of muscle lassitude. Also, vomiting can be caused by the same virus because respiratory viruses mainly cause digestive problems. So, I think it is a common cold (febrile respiratory catarrh) caused by a virus. But I suggest that you give me more information so I could be more accurate.

I hope I helped a little.

Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
