Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a small pimple on the middle shaft of my penis that was initially very tiny and barely noticeable. However, after a day of intense physical work and sweating, I noticed that I did not shower afterward, and the pimple has since grown larger. It now appears as a fully white pimple with a small black dot in the center. What could this be?
Please guide.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for posting your query.
If there was unprotected sexual contact, consider testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs):
TPHA (treponema pallidum hemagglutination) test.
HPV DNA PCR (human papillomavirus deoxyribonucleic acid polymerase chain reaction) test.
Herpes simplex virus (HSV) Types 1 and 2 IgG (Immunoglobulin G).
Herpes simplex virus (HSV) Types 1 and 2 IgM, serum.
Chlamydia trachomatis IgG.
HIV types 1 and 2 antibody screening test.
Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg).
Complete urine analysis.
If there was no unprotected sexual contact, the issue may be a simple bacterial infection:
Apply T-bact ointment locally.
Consider taking Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for five days.
If there is itching, consider a fungal infection:
Apply Candid B ointment locally.
For severe itching, take Cetirizine (antihistamine) once nightly. Consult your doctor and take the medicines accordingly.
General care recommendations:
Wash your genital area twice daily, in the morning and at night, using lukewarm water.
Avoid using soaps with harsh pH levels.
I hope this information helps you, and please reach out if you have any doubts.
Thank you.
