Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I got a small white lump inside my penis under the shaft. The lump is on my penis body which gets harder when my penis erects. The lump has been there for the past week. It is painless, but not itchy. I consulted a GP, he prescribed antibiotic cream to apply over the area. The cream contains Mupirocin. My questions are:

1. Is it a skin tag or a bacterial infection because it's painless and no pus inside?

2. Do I need to worry about this?

3. Can I apply Mupirocin inside my penis as suggested by my GP?

Please suggest.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have attached a picture already. Please check.

Answered by Dr. Rajesh Jain

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It does not seem to be a skin tag. It seems to be a sub-acute mixed infection only which is common. I want to know if you had unprotected intercourse with an unknown person. Have you had any discharge from the urethra? Do you have diabetes? Reply with details.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I did not have any sexual activity for several months with anyone. I masturbate sometimes. I do not have diabetes. I checked my blood sugar a month back, and it is normal. The lump is not hard, it is normal, with no pain or pus. Is it something like Tyson's glands?

Answered by Dr. Rajesh Jain

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is not Tyson gland. It is a subacute mixed infection causing deposition of skin layers on it. I suggest you take a tablet Chymoral forte (Trypsin Chymotrypsin) twice a day, capsule Itraconazole (Sucrose and Maize starch) 200 mg once a day, capsule Doxt-SL (Doxycycline and Lactic acid bacillus) twice a day on the first day and once a day from the second day onwards. Take all medicines for seven days. Do follow up after three days. I hope this helps you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am allergic to Penicillin, can I take these medications?

Answered by Dr. Rajesh Jain

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Do not worry, these medicines do not contain any Penicillin.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am living in a different country. I could not get Chymoral forte here, so I bought other two medicines. Shall I skip Chymoral forte, if compulsory please prescribe an alternative medicine. Thank you.

Answered by Dr. Rajesh Jain

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, instead of Chymoral forte, take the tablet Serratiopeptidase (Zinc and Metalloprotease) 15 mg twice a day, you can get it there.

Patient's Query

It is not available. Shall I use Lysozyme or Papain tablets?

Answered by Dr. Rajesh Jain
