Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had a type of partial sex, which was not proper. But after that, I got my period after four days. Now, a month has passed, and still, I am not getting periods. Why?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Provided you had a period after the sex and the period was normal, then you are not pregnant. Having a period after sex is proof that the sex did not result in pregnancy. The present delay you are having in your period may be due to other things like drugs, illnesses, PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), and physical or psychological stress, among others. So, a delay of up to two weeks is allowed for a period before the test to confirm the cause is commenced if the period still has not come. So, be patient. If your period has been exceeded by more than two weeks, then you would need to do an ultrasound scan, and then I will review the result when it is available.

I hope this addresses your concern.

Revert in case of queries.

Kind regards.
