Sun protection factor or SPF of sunscreen lotion is how effective the lotion is in protecting you from the harmful effects of the sun's ultraviolet rays. For example, applying a sunscreen with SPF 15 will protect you from the sun for 150 minutes, if usually, it takes only 10 minutes to burn under the sun.
