Does Clobetamil G cream discontinuation cause skin darkness?

Hello doctor,

I am using Clobetamil G cream since four years. But I did not get any irritations or side effects. But, if I stop using that cream I become very dark. If I consult a doctor, there is no use but if I use that cream again I will become very fair. Maybe my skin is addicted to this cream. What shall I do for this? Please suggest me.

What causes weird line-shaped rashes when scratching?

Hi doctor,

Since last week, I have been feeling itchiness around my body, especially arms, feet, abdomen, and back. At first, it started every night, but it starts to feel itchy in the afternoon too. Now, the itch kind of calmed down, but every time I scratched, my skin tends to form weird raised lines which look like rash bumps, but in a weird line shape which is not really caused by how I scratched it. Just like the pictures below, the rash can either look like weird shapes or like red scars which form in order for some reason. Also, the rash does not go away after a while, sometimes it just stays there. Now it mostly forms around my back, breast, legs and arms. Is there any cause of this? Please advice.

Is salicylic acid treatment safe for nodular cystic acne?

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old boy with severe acne, nodular cystic acne, and acne vulgaris. I tried everything, but nothing really worked. So, two months back, I finally decided to visit a dermatologist. The dermatologist prescribed me Isotretinoin capsules or Sotret of 20 mg. So, it was working quite well, but I had some breakouts. So, on my next follow-up, she added 10 mg more. And today, after six weeks, I had another follow-up. My previous doctor is on maternity leave. So, I had to meet another doctor. The new doctor decreased my dosage by 10 mg, and now I am supposed to be taking 20 mg per day. The doctor I visited today suggested going through some acidic treatments like Salicylic acids. She said taking medicines would not get me the desired skin and I should be doing these acid treatments. So, what I want to know is: Is acid treatment necessary? My acne is fading away, but there are some new breakouts that I think are due to my own carelessness. I eat oily food, sleep very less, and do not drink enough water.

Thank you.

How to manage Fordyce spots in penis and corner of mouth?

Hello doctor,

I am a 21-year-old male. I have Fordyce spots on my private areas and on the corners of my upper lip. Can you give me a cure? My problem has remained consistent since the last seven to eight years. It does not pain or itches or none of such problems. I just feel upset whenever I look down at them and badly want to cure it. When I touch the spots on the downside of my penis it feels like some kind of tight hard mass inside, but it pains when I try to squeeze them out all in vain. Two-three spots get bigger in size sometimes and remain so for quite a long time and some new spots also arise intermittently. It is very awkward to see them feel the masses inside and these spots are only on the downside of my penis and not on the upper side. And my BP is normal as I last checked up some days ago. I have no problem with sugar level or any cholesterol issue. Thanks.
