From the MRI, can you tell me what is the reason for my back pain?

Hi,Welcome to icliniq.com.It looks like spondyloarthropathy and right now no surgery is required. You do routine workups like complete blood picture, CRP (C-reactive protein), ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), RA factor (rheumatoid arthritis factor), and anti-CCP antibody (anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide). You can use Gabapentin without fear. Physiotherapy is very important, and it will teach you to improve your posture.

My son has a sharp pain in the temple area if he moves his neck. Please advise.

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. According to history, the pain is mainly because of postural problems and lack of physical training. The shifting nature of pain is not due to the ice bath. It might be psychological. I suggest you consult a sports physiotherapist and change his postures (posture training).

Is surgery a must for my mother's severe shoulder pain?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. Based on the MRI report (attachment removed to protect patient identity), it is a full thickness tear of supraspinatus with retraction. The ideal treatment is arthroscopic repair for this age group of patients followed by strict physiotherapy. It is a keyhole surgery. Most of these surgeries will have good success rates.
