How to manage continuous eye ache, headaches, and fatigue?

Hello doctor,

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism two years back with TSH 7.45. SGOT 61.0, SGPT 42.0, triglyceride 241, cholesterol 220, LDL 125.8, HDL 46.0. The BT report a year back is as follows: TSH 8.38, T3 92.3, T4 6.75, SGOT 26.5, SGPT 30.24, triglyceride 188.85, cholesterol 215.61, HDL 44.32, LDL 156.6. Ratio 4.90. I feel a continuous ache in my eyes, headache, fatigue, become anxious easily, get a severe headache if exposed to heat. I get hungry every three to four hours. I have been doing exercise and yoga for last eight months. It brings slight relief in morning hours and by 12 PM fatigue sets in. I was taking Thyroxine 25 mcg for six months last year. I used to have low BP and low pulse, felt giddiness in evening and so reduced Thyroxine dosage to 12.5 mcg for last five months. I am not diabetic. Kindly advice.

What does leg pain and larger clumps of fat around knees and joints mean?

Hello doctor,

My wife aged 55 years is suffering from arthritis I believe. She has leg pain for the past five years. She has larger clumps of fat around knees and joints and looks heavily obsessive. The recent health checkup results say that she is vitamin D deficient (6.6 ng/ml) and B12 deficient (226 pg/ml). Other values are well within the ranges. One of my friends in the medical field suggested consulting an endocrinologist.

Do higher TSH levels during the first four weeks of pregnancy affect fetal development?

Hello doctor,

My wife has hypothyroidism and was on Thyroxin 150 mcg per day for five days a week and weighed around 209 lbs. She started a keto diet around four months ago and now has reduced her weight to 165 lbs. She reduced her Thyroxin dosage by every 20 days and is on 50 mcg currently. Her thyroid values are T3 - 64 ng/dL, T4 - 7.9 ng/dL, and TSH 14.4 mIU/mL. We got a positive pregnancy test yesterday, so we stopped the keto diet immediately and consulted an endocrinologist. He modified the dosage to 125 mcg/day, seven days a week, and asked to stop the keto diet. Seems it is around four weeks of pregnancy. Now the doubt is, do higher levels of TSH in the first four weeks of pregnancy affect fetal development? Can we continue to have the fetus grow? Please suggest.

Thank you.
