Is my jaw pain and popping sound due to osteoarthritis?

Hello doctor,

I am 35 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weight 79 kg. Vegetarian diet. Before two years, due to stomach disturbance and pain and some popup and cracker sound occurred in my knee joints. I visited the doctor and he suggested me for a laboratory test of liver function test and all reports were in normal range except sugar which was 138 at that time and gave me some medicines and referred to orthopedic for joint pain. I have visited an orthopedic specialist. He took an X-ray of both leg, knee, and told that it is an early stage of osteoarthritis of the knee and he suggested for MRI and I got my MRI done. In the MRI report, it is mentioned that left knee has been affected with osteoarthritis. After that, he gave some medicine for 10 days and referred to a physiotherapist for exercise and weight loss. I have visited as he told and now I have reduced my weight and now there is very little pain remaining in my left knee but now my other joints like the left hand thumb, finger, and both hand and knee have popup sound during movement. Kindly diagnose my problem and suggest the treatment for the same.

How can I get relief from pain in sacroiliac joints?

Hi doctor,

I have severe pain in my sacroiliac joints (eight years). The doctors focused only on my lumbar sacral spine, and it has got fused for two years. However, the pain persisted. I found after surgery that bilateral sacroiliitis showed up on MRI for two years. I saw a rheumatologist for the first time who diagnosed me with ankylosing spondylitis and started treatment. For the past 12 months, we have tried different things to treat it. I also feel so sick of myself. I also have a low-grade temperature, nausea, dizziness, and fatigue. Currently, I am taking Gabapentin, Palexia, Midon, Xarelto, and Zofran.

What does small pimple-like bumps on penis mean?

Hi doctor,

I am a 51-year-old male and I am in good health. Over the last two weeks, I have developed four small pimple-like bumps, within my pubic hair, that has basically come and go over the period. They are not clustered or oozing anything. I have no other symptoms when I notice the pimple-like bump it is annoying. By annoying, I mean irritating. They appear to be healing pretty fast and not hanging around (within a few days). I have also noticed these bumps appear after I work out. I sweat a lot when I work out. I get cold sores so you can guess that I am quite anxious that I might have genital herpes. I am sexually active. The obvious question is, do you think I might have HSV-2?

What is the effective treatment for chronic stomach pain after using Naproxen that resists multiple treatments?

Hello doctor,

I have had moderate stomach pain for the last three years. It started after being on Naproxen for one week. I have never taken any other NSAIDs before, and it was taken with a PPI to help protect the stomach. I have taken Lansoprazole, Pantoprazole, and now Dexilant to treat this condition (Dexilant dosage two times a day 30 mg). Unfortunately, no medicine seems to provide any real relief. Eating fatty or acidic foods is especially harmful to my stomach, and the pain generally lasts for days or weeks. My only salvation right now is to drink homemade aloe water (the only thing that provides temporary relief) and eat a diet consisting of grains, lean protein, and vegetables. I have had multiple ultrasounds, a HIDA scan for my gallbladder, a breath test for H. pylori, two gastroscopies or colonoscopies, and various blood tests. The findings are as follows:

1. Bilirubin and iron were mildly elevated on the blood tests (nothing concerning, according to the doctors).

2. Liver or kidney was slightly enlarged on the MRI (nothing concerning according to the doctors).

3. Gastroscopies revealed mild irritation to the stomach lining.

4. Colonoscopy first was clean, and second revealed five polyps that were removed.

I am now waiting for another specialist (estimated 12-month wait time), and my family has recommended a blood test for H. pylori as I was still medicating shortly before the breath test, which could of lead to a false negative. Unfortunately, my stomach is now in too much pain to abstain from medication (acid spike from withdrawal) to take another breath test. I desperately need help from someone highly specialized in this condition.

Thank you.
