Will my nuclear scan detect bursitis inflammation?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have read through your query and reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity) in detail. Please find my observations below. The x-ray is always useful when reporting a computed tomography (CT) scan. It provides a two-dimensional picture of the screw which is seen to be partly in the region of soft tissues.

I had a CT scan for pelvic pain. What does the film indicate?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. Thanks for writing to us, and I have gone through the CT scan images (attachment removed to protect patient identity). There is a lesion in the right intertrochanteric area that is showing characteristics of an osteoma, which is almost always a benign condition. One must look out for any severe pain and any abnormal bone growth in the area.

Please explain my ultrasound report.

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. Your ultrasound scan report shows that there is a small area in the left parotid region, the upper part of the neck, and this is on a plane above the parotid gland, a salivary gland. This is likely a normal accessory (extra) salivary gland and less likely to be any abnormal or disease condition. To be certain, it is advised to get a needle test called FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology), in which a few cells will be taken out from the area and examined under a microscope. The other lump mentioned is a lymph node and is not a concern since it is small in size.

How to manage my father’s high blood sugar and fever?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. If your father is having continuous fever for seven days with negative blood reports then probably a detailed evaluation is required. Tablet Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic against most bacterial infections. If his fever is not improving and the blood culture and sensitivity are not showing any organism, then he is probably having a parasitic infection or a viral infection.

Does a white patch on a lung X-ray mean lung cancer in men?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have seen your X-ray (attachment removed to protect patient identity). The chest X-ray shows a prominent right hilar area, most likely due to rotation. You were rotated in position when the X-ray was taken, which might cause a false appearance of right hilar vascular prominence. To me, it does not look like cancer, but thought is to be given to your symptoms.
