What could be causing persistent lower right abdominal pain in 27-year-old female?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 27-year-old female, not pregnant, and my last period was expected to come in the middle of the previous month. Despite taking medication, there has been no improvement in my condition. I have been experiencing consistent pain in my lower right abdomen and pelvic area, with the pain radiating to the right side of the back. This discomfort is accompanied by a burning sensation and occasional sharp pain. I also have very frequent urination. I have undergone a full blood count, urine analysis, and stool samples, but no infection has been detected. The pain started about a week ago and has not improved or worsened since then. Applying heat temporarily relieves the discomfort. Interestingly, the pain is more pronounced when I lie down or sit, but it gets better when I am standing or walking. Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your query. I read your query and understood your concern.
Based on the symptoms you described, it is possible that you may be experiencing issues related to your urinary or reproductive system. Some potential causes could include urinary tract infections, kidney stones, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, or pelvic inflammatory disease, among others. However, since you mentioned that no infection was found in your blood, urine, and stool samples and your blood test shared are normal, if you have some more tests kindly share, as I can only view one image which is of minimal use as you are experiencing a variety of symptoms.
Please take care, and get back to me with your full work-up blood test reports, do attach if any ultrasound was done.
I hope my advice will be helpful. Feel free to reach out if you have any further queries.
Thank you.
