How to manage rough masturbation abrasion using topicals?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I noticed a small, smooth brown dot on the shaft of my penis today. I observed this after masturbating yesterday. I should note that I was rough and experienced friction burn. Could this be related? I am really worried and freaking out.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and can understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms and the picture you sent, I believe you have developed an abrasion on your penis following rough masturbation. The next time you masturbate, please use cream to avoid any injury.

In the meantime, I suggest you use the following on your wound:

  1. Topical 0.2 % Tacrolimus cream (Immunosuppressant).
  2. Topical 0.05 % Clobetasol ointment (Corticosteroid) once daily.
  3. 0.2 % Hydrocortisone cream (Corticosteroid) twice daily for one month.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
