Are there any natural remedies to manage face acne?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My face and lips lack hydration. I have acne (mostly hormonal) and these tiny dots that appear on the skin that are not big enough to be classified as a pimple. I tried using Dermaliss, and it probably made it worse. For my skin type, my nose and forehead area get oily from time to time, so I assume I have a combination skin type. The skin on my face is sensitive. I also used vitamin C face serum a while back, and it brightened my face for a while (only a while though). Do I keep on using it and for how long? What should I do? Is there a natural remedy?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. But do not worry. I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed an acneiform eruption, possibly due to cosmetic changes. Yes, you can use the Dr Rachael vitamin C, but if no improvement, please use the following standard recommendation of acne treatment:
-
Tablet Minocycline 500 mg, orally, thrice daily for one week.
-
Apply topical 2% Resorcinol, four times daily, or topical 0.1% Tretinoin, twice daily.
-
20% Azelaic acid four times daily or 5% Dapsone gel four times daily for one month.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Thank you.
