Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had this sudden flare-up on my right cheek with big and small pimples altogether. It mostly faded, leaving hyperpigmentation. But now I have multiple small pimples under the skin.
What should I use? I cleanse my face with a water gel from a glycerine-based moisturizer and use glycolic acid toner at night.
I only used this combination when it started to happen. Is it the cause, and what routine should I use to heal it as soon as possible?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I am very sorry about your medical condition.
Do not worry. I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms of repeated pimples on the face despite treatment, I propose that you have developed resistant acne vulgaris. No, it is not caused by those creams you are applying. Rather, it has to do with your skin's fatty nature. I suggest you take the following:
1. Capsule containing Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid 625 mg orally twice a day.
2. Tablet Acyclovir 800 mg orally once a day.
3. Apply topical 2 % Resorcinol once a day, 20 % Azelaic acid once a day, or 5 % Dapsone cream twice a day around the affected face.
If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.
Thanks for using icliniq, and have a nice day.
