Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

It has been a week since I underwent full face threading, and I have experienced breakouts all over my face. These pimples are numerous, although they are quite small. They have emerged across my cheeks, forehead, and chin. I am seeking advice on how to alleviate this situation. Normally, my face is blemish-free, but after the procedure, I have noticed intense itching and redness throughout my entire face. Despite maintaining a clean face, refraining from using makeup, and minimizing contact, these pimples are painful to touch. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Hormonal factors often influence pimples and can be exacerbated by oily skin. Here are some recommendations to address this concern:

  1. Refrain from applying hair oil and heavy creams to your face.

  2. Avoid consuming oily food, chocolates, and dairy products.

  3. Minimize exposure to dust, and remember to apply sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of 30 or higher.

  4. When using creams, avoid vigorously rubbing them onto your face.

  5. Steer clear of any creams containing steroids.

  6. Stay committed to the treatment regimen for at least one month.

  7. Note that face washes and soaps are not comprehensive treatments and have limited effect.

  8. It is important not to touch or squeeze acne, as this can worsen the condition.

  9. I suggest you use Clindamycin gel for treatment. This serves as both a preventive and curative measure. Apply it all over your face in the morning, and Adapalene gel can be applied directly to acne spots before bedtime. Take Tab Doxycycline 100 mg once daily.

I hope this helps.

Please revert in case of other queries.

Thank you.
