Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 22-year-old female. My skin is oily in summer and dry in winter. I am not using any products on my skin because I have sensitive skin. I have acne breakouts and open and closed pores. Also, acne and tiny bumps on my face, back, chest, and forearms, especially on my forehead and chin, and a few whiteheads on my chin. Kindly suggest.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. I suggest you follow the following instructions:
1. Wash your face with a cleanser at least two to three times a day.
2. Avoid eating high carbohydrate or fatty foods.
3. Use anti-dandruff shampoos like Scalpe or Nizoral lotion (Ketoconazole 2 %), as dandruff can exacerbate acne.
4. Apply topical Adapalene gel (Adapalene 0.3 %) to the acne spots during the night after using a face wash. You may get some irritation or peel initially. You can use moisturizing lotion if required in the morning.
If it does not subside or worsen, I suggest you consult a dermatologist for further examination and other treatments.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for your reply.
What is the name of the cleanser and moisturizer? Kindly suggest.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. I suggest you use Cetaphil cleanser (Salicylic acid, Panthenol, Butylparaben, Sodium cocoyl isethionate, Sodium benzoate, and Cetearyl alcohol), and you can use a moisturizing lotion of your choice if there is dryness or peeling.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
