Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 26-year-old female, and my skin texture and barrier have been damaged for several months now after a dermatologist recommended the use of Tazorac twice a day to help with mild congestion and texture from acne. My skin is severely dehydrated, with lines everywhere, and there is a strange texture on my forehead.
I have recently been prescribed Zoryve by another dermatologist, but I do not think it is working. I would like to get a third opinion. Are there any in-office treatments I can do to fix this as soon as possible? I do not experience any sensitivity or irritation.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. But do not worry, I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms and pictures sent, I believe you have developed an acneiform eruption, possibly due to hormone imbalance or cosmetic changes. I can see that you have used some recommended medications that do not seem to improve. I am so sorry about that. Please kindly use the following to help out with acne and dehydration:
Tablet Minocycline 500mg (milligrams) orally three times a day for a week.
Apply topical 2 percent Resorcinol every day, or topical 0.1 percent Tretinoin twice daily.
20 percent Azelaic acid every day or five percent Dapsone gel every day for one month.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Thank you.
