Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had severe acne on my cheeks and forehead for the last three months. I have always had oily skin. I regularly have one or two facial acne from puberty, but recently, the situation has worsened. The acne appears as small red bumps and remains on my face for a long time. I have recently started using Salicylic acid serum followed by oat extract light moisturizer in the morning. I consulted a dermatologist for pimples during puberty, and they suggested using Nicotinamide and lactic acid supplements. Will it help me in curing acne? What should I do to get rid of acne quickly? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.

I am very sorry about your medical condition. I am here to take care of you. Your symptoms are due to infected acne vulgaris. I suggest you take the following:

  1. Capsule Co-Amoxiclav (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) 625 mg twice daily after food.

  2. Apply topical 2 % Resorcinol once daily or 20 % Azelaic acid once daily.

Consult a specialist doctor, talk to them, and then take the medication. If your symptoms persist, schedule a follow-up.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
