Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My wife drank 30 ml of Amoxicillin and potassium clavulanate oral suspension in one shot. She is 24 years old, 5 feet 6 inches, and weighs 143.3 pounds. What effect this will create?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

This suspension is meant for pediatric usage. In case of severe infections, up to 2 grams per day can be taken for adults. So there is no need to worry. Please help with the following information to guide you better.

1. Strength of the syrup i.e. how much drug does 30 ml contain?

2. Was this medicine prescribed for this individual?

3. If yes, for what medical problem?

Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
