Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I used a hair removal cream around my penis and anus. At that time, there was no rash. Later, I started feeling itching there, and I started scratching it a lot. This led to dead skin removal. But the itchiness would not go away. The situation has worsened. Due to severe itching, I have developed bleeding and wounds similar to blood clots.
The skin is extremely dry.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello
Welcome to icliniq.com
I understand your concern.
It is possible that the hair removal cream may have caused an allergic reaction or skin itching, which has worsened over time.
Here are some steps you can take to help soothe and heal the affected areas:
1. Stop using the hair removal cream: If you suspect that the cream is causing irritation, it is best to avoid using it until your skin has healed.
2. Clean the area: Use a gentle cleanser and warm water to clean the affected areas, being careful not to scrub too vigorously and cause further irritation.
3. Apply a cool compress: Applying a cool compress to the affected areas can help soothe inflammation and reduce discomfort.
4. Use an anti-itch cream: Look for an anti-itch cream that contains ingredients like hydrocortisone or calamine, which can help reduce itching and promote healing.
5. Avoid scratching: Resist the urge to scratch the affected areas, as this can further irritate the skin and increase the risk of infection.
6. Wear loose-fitting clothing: Tight clothing can rub against the affected areas, causing further irritation. Wearing loose-fitting clothing can help prevent this.
7. Consider seeing a healthcare provider: If your symptoms persist or worsen, it may be worth consulting with a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying conditions and determine the best course of treatment for your specific situation.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
