Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been advised to undergo an apicoectomy for a previous root canal treatment, which was unsuccessful. What needs to be done exactly, and is it painful?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I need your X-ray to explain the exact treatment plan and details, like the teeth number, adjacent teeth, and surrounding structures. My advice is to go for an extraction of the tooth with failed root canal (RCT) treatment and replace the extracted tooth with a crown and bridge, taking support of the adjacent healthy teeth.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Even after looking at your X-ray, my advice is to go for extraction, and after healing, go for a prosthodontic crown and bridge taking support of the adjacent teeth.

Thank you.
