Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My dentist said that I should remove both teeth in the photo due to them being infected. Both the teeth have their nerves removed and one is broken. I would like to ask for a second opinion as I worry that I will have issues with chewing after the removal due to the position of the teeth.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have viewed your X-ray (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It looks very clear that the teeth are infected and the root canal treatment that is done is not appropriate.
The teeth need to be re-treated or removed but the line of treatment depends on certain conditions of teeth. For this, I need a few more details. Please provide the following details so that I can guide you better.

Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your response. The teeth are not painful, but there is swelling over the gum next to one of the teeth. Treatment was done about nine years ago.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
If you can consult an endodontist, better try to get a root canal treatment done again under antibiotic cover. Hopefully, the teeth will be saved.
If at all he also denies it, then no other option than getting them removed. Please let me know if you have more questions.
