Which medications can help get rid of back acne?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have acne on my back. I have attached a picture of it, and I am using 5% Benzoyl peroxide daily. Is there any other medication that could help me get rid of it?

Please advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have reviewed your case. First, you need to understand that pimples are common, and you may experience frequent flare-ups due to stress or hormones. Currently, there are only a few active lesions, while the rest are post-inflammatory pigmentation marks. These hyperpigmentation marks will fade gradually, or you can apply vitamin C cream twice a day to help. Keep Clindamycin gel with you and apply it to the pimples twice a day. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
