Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have side back pain and tingling in my hands and feet. I went to the hospital, and they checked and gave me a blood test for complete blood count (CBC), B12, and calcium. Can CBC test give information about kidney function?
Hi,
Glad to hear from you.
I am here to answer all your questions.
Actually, your reports are fine, but you have vitamin B12 deficiency. The complete blood count (CBC) report is normal. So, these symptoms can be due to vitamin B 12 deficiency only. Do not worry; it can be treated easily.
I would suggest you take:
Tablet Methylcobalamin 750 milligrams once before sleeping for 15 days.
Tablet Paracetamol or Aceclofenac once after meal whenever pain in the back for five days.
Do you have pain in the right side or left side of the chest? Please let me know.
I am thankful that you have confidence in me to help you.
Please stay safe and healthy. Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
No doctor, only lower back and side of back. Both side tingling in feet and hand along with itching.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read and understand your concern.
Actually lower back pain is sometimes associated with vitamin D deficiency. So you might have that as well. Can you send your other blood reports as well? I just got your complete blood count (CBC) and B12 reports. So please attach other reports as well. I will assess and let you know.
Looking forward to your response in order to help you.
Thank you.
