Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My mouth has a very foul smell all day, and when I wake up in the morning, my mouth is full of yellow saliva and is horrible in taste. It has been two months. I have tried various types of mouthwash. I usually brush my teeth twice a day. But still, my mouth stinks all day. What is the solution? Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

It is completely normal; the yellow coloration is due to bacterial overgrowth overnight. You should not worry.

I suggest,

1. Listerine (Thymol, Eucalyptol, Methyl salicylate, and Menthol) mouthwash thrice daily.

2. Wash your mouth with salty water before bedtime.

3. Brush your teeth properly before sleeping.

4. Visit the dentist to treat any caries or problems in your teeth.

I hope you find it helpful.

Kind regards.
