Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been suffering from posthitis and balanitis for over a month. It is not itching or hurting anymore, but my penis still does not look normal. My skin is peeling, and some parts look rugged. Kindly advise.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Balanoposthitis can be tricky to get rid of. A more suitable solution is to get a circumcision. It helps maintain hygiene and, of course, prevents skin inflammation. It may, however, relapse in the glans (head). Should you not wish to undergo circumcision immediately, the situation can be managed temporarily with steroid cream Beclomethasone and an antibiotic cream Neomycin applied twice daily for five to six days. I would advise you to get a workup for diabetes as well, as it is one of the leading causes of balanoposthitis. Please share a few images for me to assess.

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I am not able to upload the picture. I get an internal server error every time.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

That is fine. Whatever I have mentioned above makes sense. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
