Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have an ulcer on my penis and I have some white burning, not the itching type of foreskin, near the frenum area. There is no previous history of tearing. Can you please confirm if it is tearing or some lesion?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

At present, those area is infected. What is your age?

By any chance, are you diabetic and have any history of high-risk unprotected sexual exposure?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

My age is 26 years with no history of diabetes. Which area is infected? I do not have any problem with the area on the glans. It has been white from way back. Just the area in the frenulum recently started causing problems. I have been applying Mupirocin ointment there. Is it a tearing problem?

I am scared. I have had safe sex but not with high risk. I had torn and bled in that area a year back. But this time, there is no bleeding.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The one with mild slough over is infected. You can use an intimate wash to clean the area. Mupirocin ointment is good, and continue that twice a day. Use a mild moisturizer or virgin coconut oil to keep the area moisturized.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

Is it due to tearing?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is probably the torn area that got infected.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

I am very scared. Please tell me what should I do and how long will it take to heal. Or anything I should be worried about?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

With just Mupirocin, the area does not seem to be drying (observe for three to five days), and then add an oral antibiotic. For example, capsule Augmentin (Amoxicillin and Potassium Clavulanate) 625 mg in the morning and night for five days.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

It is just a tear that got infected right? So I will do what you have advised. Can you tell me how long does it take for the tear to heal?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It will take about ten days to heal.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

Should I be worried about it? Is it something very serious?
