Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am suffering from poor balance, difficulty in swallowing, tingling in the fourth and fifth fingers of both hands, difficulty in standing for more than three minutes, slow heart rate, and dizziness. All the symptoms started suddenly nine years ago.
Could you please check my magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) carefully?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can see that you have been having different problems for quite some time. So, my finding is that the spine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is relatively normal (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). There is only a bony hemangioma in one of the vertebral bodies, which is nothing significant.
In the brain MRI, it is observed that the optic chiasma is bowed downwards; the pituitary gland is compressed to the sellar floor by cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and both optic nerves are bent. These findings may represent benign intracranial hypertension, which has already been considered. However, there is no herniation of cerebellar tonsils or temporal uncus. According to me, it is most likely a benign intracranial hypertension. I think this information will help guide your treatment in a helpful direction.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
What do you mean by your doctor has already considered it?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Benign intracranial hypertension is already considered in your diagnosis. So I mentioned, in an effort to assure you, that the doctors already have this thing in their assessment. I hope the matter is clear now.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
