Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

I understand your concern. It is important to note that other symptoms should also be considered before reaching a conclusion. However, if everything else is normal, and you have missed your period while being sexually active, the range of beta hCG (a pregnancy hormone) suggests the possibility of pregnancy.

This needs to be confirmed with an ultrasound report for further evaluation. The measurement of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in serum and plasma is most commonly used for the early detection and monitoring of pregnancy.

When combined with other parameters, it can also help evaluate the risk of trisomy 21 (Down syndrome). Please be aware that hCG levels may be elevated in various other situations, including pituitary production during menopause and conditions such as gestational trophoblastic disease and neoplasia.

Additionally, ovarian and extra-ovarian germ cell tumors can produce hCG. Many other non-germ cell tumors may also secrete hCG, which can sometimes lead to diagnostic challenges.

Please attach your reports so I can provide further guidance.

I hope this information is helpful.

Please let me know if you have any further questions, and I would be happy to assist you.

Thank you.
