Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have just started taking the birth control pill Optimizette four months ago to regulate my period. After starting it, I had one long period that lasted two weeks. A week after that, I began having spotting, which has continued for 18 days up to today. Sometimes it is a bit heavier than just spotting (it stains), and the color varies from brown to dark red. I wanted to ask whether this spotting-like bleeding is considered a light period or just spotting.
Please help.
