Hello doctor,

I have been having an issue with my left-eye vision. A few months ago, a small blind spot appeared in my left eye. I consulted a specialist. They scanned it and said it was just a normal blind spot. But now it has got worse. It has tripled in size and is making my reading very challenging. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. To rule out if it is a normal or abnormal blind spot, get HVF 30-2 SITA standard test done. In this test, you just need to press the button in response to a light stimulus while fixing a target straight ahead. If you feel the need, you can get this test repeated at regular intervals, like six months or earlier. I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
