What could cause reddish pimple-like blisters on the penis tip?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 65-year-old retired government executive. I am married with two children.
A month ago a reddish pimple-like tiny blister appeared on the pennis tip. It was painful while urinating. This has happened before many times and disappeared either on its own or within two to three days of application of Clotrimazole ointment. This time it healed, but a reddish blister appeared on the inner side of the foreskin covering the affected area of the tip.
I continued applying the ointment for six to seven days. Now the redness has spread on the inner foreskin and the area is moist. I did not have sex in the last two years. But, sometimes I do masturbate. Kindly advise whether to continue with Candiderma cream or a more effective treatment.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I suggest you take the following medicines.
-
If there is itching and redness, use Lobate- GM Neo cream (Clobetasol, Miconazole, and Neomycin) for local application.
-
If there is only pain and irritation, ointment T Bact (Mupirocin) for local application.
-
Take the antibiotic, tablet Doxycycline 100 mg(Monodox) twice a day after food for 5 days to prevent infection.
-
Tablet Zerodol P (non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) for pain twice a day after food for five days.
-
Tablet Cetirizine (Zyrtec) for itching once a night after food for five days
I hope this has helped you. Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.
Thank you.
