Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am worried about my recent blood test results.

WBC count is 4.4 cells per microliter.

Neutrophils - 2.0 cells per microliter (45%).

Lymphocytes - 1.8 cells per microliter (42%).

Monocytes - 0.4 cells per microliter (9%).

Eosinophils - 0.2 cells per microliter (4%).

Basophil - 0 cells per microliter.

ESR is less than 2 mm/h.

RBC count and platelets are normal.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Following is my opinion regarding your asked questions.

The attached report (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) shows mild lymphocytosis means lymphocyte count elevation. You need not worry about that. Likewise, occasional sweating at night is not a matter of concern. However, you can get your blood pressure checked for night sweats.

Temporary viral infection can cause lymphocytosis. You can repeat your CBC (complete blood count) with a peripheral smear after a few days. It will mostly show lymphocytes within range.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
