This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My legs are O shaped which is called bow legs. My father, grandmother, my kids, and my sister also have bow legs. I do not want to wear painful braces and surgery because I am an asthma patient. I am taking capsules Sunny D. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concerns. Your complaint can be referred to as medial compartment arthritis. This can progress very rapidly to tri compartmental arthritis. Surgery is a permanent cure, but if you are not willing for it, then you need to take medicines like:

1. Tablet Tramadol (Carbopol, and Magnesium Stearate) 50 mg twice a day (morning and night) for seven days after food.

2. Tablet Rabeprazole (Crospovidone and Hypromellose) 20 mg twice a day (morning and night) for seven days after food.

3. Tablet Calcium Carbonate 500 mg every night for three months after food.

4. Tablet Vitamin D 60000 units once a week for eight weeks.

Do not take any medicine if you are allergic to it. Apply hot packs. Do physiotherapy daily. ultrasound therapy - 10 sittings in two weeks. Hamstring stretching exercises and always keep your vitamin D levels maintained. I hope you find this helpful.

Thank you.

Probable diagnosis

Medial compartment osteoarthritis.
