Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I did an arm lift six months ago. But the shape of my left arm still looks swollen. Is this normal? Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query, and I can understand your concern.

You need to have physiotherapy for your arm. You can also start :

1) Coconut oil massage of your arm for 30 minutes twice daily for at least three months.

2) Wear a crepe bandage or a customized pressure garment that is tight enough to give the impression of that garment on your arm.

3) Consult a physiotherapist and start physiotherapy of your arm.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

Currently, I am undergoing carbon dioxide injections. Do you recommend discontinuing them? I also did an ultrasound on this area, and it showed no masses or collection of fluid.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have read your query, and I can understand your concern.

There is nothing to worry about as per your ultrasound (attachment removed to protect the patient’s identity). But arm swelling needs physiotherapy along with massage and pressure garments. There is no harm in continuing CO2 (carbon dioxide) injections. But kindly meet a physiotherapist who can suggest ultrasound-based or RF (radio frequency) based noninvasive procedures to help you recover faster. Along with using pressure garments and massage at home with coconut oil, as advised earlier.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you.
