Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I got pertussis half a year ago, and it left me with a bronchitis cough that I still have. I was just wondering if I could have caught an infection that would cause permanent lung damage. Most of the time, bad coughing starts when I am doing cardio.
Please help.
Thank you.

Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
I am sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed pneumonia. Do you have any history of completion of your immunizations, any blood and sputum tests, or chest pain?
Please do a chest X-ray and sputum examination, and reply to me with the result.
Please take the following:
Co-Amoxiclav 625 mg (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) or Metronidazole 400 mg for two weeks. Reply to me if you have more concerns or questions by scheduling a direct appointment or follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks.
