Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am six weeks pregnant. I am having a discharge mixed with mucus and a slight brown color.
Thanks.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
This is due to urinary tract and reproductive tract infections, which are common in women. Before this, I would like to ask you whether a pregnancy ultrasound was done, which was needed during pregnancy. A complete blood count test has been done. The heartbeat of the baby usually starts at six weeks, which is confirmed by scanning. If all are normal, then treatment for vaginal infection is to be initiated. Take a tablet of Amoxicillin 500 mg twice a day, Paracetamol 500 mg twice a day, and Cetirizine 10 mg twice a day for five days as a course. It will cure the discharge. It is advised to drink plenty of oral fluids and have proper hygiene, like cleaning private parts, drying, not keeping them wet, and wearing a loose type of dress.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks.
