What could cause a soft, painless lump on the testicle?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a doctor's appointment booked for a week and a half from now as that is the soonest I can get in because I work away from home two weeks at a time. Until then I am just looking for some advice. A few days ago I noticed a lump on my right testicle. It is probably a little over a centimeter in size and located on the lower back part of my testicle. I have no pain. It feels somewhat soft, almost like a bubble. It is softer than the rest of my testicles. Seems to have a little bit of movement in it but not a whole lot.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
Firstly, do not worry this lump you have noticed will not trouble you. But I strongly suggest making note of any changes in size over time. Any development of pain, redness, or discomfort that currently you do not have. Make a diary, write down the size, when exactly you noticed from then was any increase in size noted, etc. so that it will be easy for you when you meet your concerned doctor to share the details.
As per your description, this seems to be like a sack filled with a fluidic substance that probably could be diagnosed as a spermatocele or epididymal cyst.
Either way, they might go for extensive checkups to rule out any other probabilities.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Thank you.
