Can Bupropion cause nausea and tiredness?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 63-year-old and I take Verapamil 240 mg once daily, Lisinopril 20 mg twice daily, and Clonazepam 0.5 mg twice daily. I started taking 500 mg of Metformin about a month ago. I do drink, at times more than is considered moderate. Yesterday, I accidentally took one 150 mg tablet of Bupropion which I used to take but stopped because it seemed to raise my blood pressure some, and I sweated more than I usually do. I woke up today, with very slight nausea, and tiredness. Is it due to Bupropion?

Kindly help.

hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all, I like to inform you that by today more than 70 % of medications should have been cleared from your body as Bupropion has a half-life of just 20 hours. Regarding seizures, if you did not get any seizures in the last two days you are unlikely to get one in the near future due to Bupropion which was taken accidentally.

I hope this helps you. Thank you.
