Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My friend tried to insert my penis into his anus. But it did not get penetrated. I got scared and cleaned my penis with soap daily continuously for 10 days. After three days, I felt a burning sensation in my urinary tract. After 10 days, I got yeast-like rashes with red spots, a white substance, and itching. I went to a skin care doctor, but I did not reveal the above. He gave me antifungal cream and a tablet for two days, and now I am fine.
May I know why I got this infection? Is it because of the harsh cleaning of the penis with soap? Or is it a symptom of a sexual infection? I had anal contact with him for 30 seconds during which no penetration occurred. His anus was tight, so I could not insert it. Is it an early symptom of HIV?
Also, the glans penis skin looks shiny after applying the cream. My friend donated blood three months ago, and he did not get any call from the blood bank. Do blood banks check the blood thoroughly? Sometimes I feel like my arm and leg muscles are aching. I am very nervous and could not sleep well.
Kindly clarify these issues.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
From your description, it appears that you had an episode of candidal balanoposthitis. This is a fungal infection of the glans and prepuce and is common after unprotected sexual intercourse, in diabetic people, and after repeated washing with antiseptics. The shininess would further increase if you continue to wash the affected area.
It cannot be labeled as a symptom of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). Blood banks do only one screening test on all samples to check for HIV, and do not repeat the same test.
Kindly mention if you are having repeated episodes of fever, weight loss, or diarrhea, and upload appropriate images of your present skin lesions so that I can suggest you accordingly.
Also, mention if you had undergone any tests after the sexual encounter.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reach out in case of further queries.
Thank you.
