What causes fatigue and rashes despite a negative HIV test?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am just 26 years old. I had high-risk exposure to commercial sex workers. I am having too much fatigue, rashes, bloating, and chest pain. I can barely walk. I have 20 antibodies for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV). All negative. My white blood count is very low at 3500 and shoots with a vitamin B12 injection. But again, it comes down.

Recently, I have been diagnosed with celiac disease. But I am not recovering despite my gluten-free diet. I do not know what to do or what is happening to me. I want to get married, but looking at the current situation, I am not able to. I know you will be saying you can not have HIV and all, but my health is bad, and you need to understand.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Really, you have no HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection. You have celiac disease, which causes fatigue and generalized weakness and, in turn, causes stress. Rashes are normal in hot weather.

Advice:

  1. Consult a dietitian for complete details on food.

  2. You can lastly go for the fourth-generation CMIA (chemiluminescence microparticle immunoassay) test. If it comes back negative, it means 100 percent you are free from HIV infection.

  3. You can take virus fruits like lemon, orange, kiwi, gooseberry, and blueberry, which are very good.

  4. Divert your mind through meditation under proper guidance.

  5. Okay, outdoor games.

  6. Listen to music if you like.

  7. Join the gym, which is helpful for weight gain.

Treatment includes:

  1. Substitute some antioxidant capsules at night for at least two months.

  2. Take seven seas cod liver oil pearls, which are good for generalized weakness.

  3. Take a proper diet as advised by dieticians.

I hope all your symptoms will disappear once you start gaining weight.

Thank you for consulting me.
