How to heal a burn caused by snorting cocaine?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I was snorting some cocaine, and I got some on my nose. It seemed to have caused a burn or something. It is not serious, but what can I put on it to make it heal faster?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

According to your statement, you have been suffering from some sort of skin lesion on the tip of your nose due to snorting cocaine, and you want to make it heal faster. Such type of skin lesion is common in cases of snorting cocaine-related people due to trauma during snorting, dehydration, impaired regeneration of skin cells, clogged pores, etc.

To make the skin lesion heal faster, first of all, you need to quit snorting cocaine as it can make your body's immunity weaker and heal slower due to decreased body immunity. To avoid dehydration, you need to take plenty of fluids. To prevent skin dryness, you can apply petroleum jelly, medical scrubs, vitamins, antiseptic cream, ointment, etc, on your skin lesion. Just by preventing skin dryness, I think it will go away on its own within a few days.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
