Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My right eye is strongly affected, I have severe chemosis, watery discharge, pain, and sensitivity to light, and cannot keep the eye open for very long. It looks like severe conjunctivitis. I also have swollen lymph nodes in front of my ear. It started two days back and has been getting worse. Yesterday, my other eye also began to exhibit some symptoms. But it is not bad. I also have diarrhea and stomach pain. I tried antibiotic eye drops and saline wash for three days but they did not do anything. I do not think it is bacterial because I do not have any pus or mucus, it is only a watery discharge. Do you think this is a bad case of viral conjunctivitis? Is there anything I can do except cold compress? Please suggest.
Thank you.
